Most courses offered by the Institute are mandatory in nature for water sports operation, Pool Management, Water-theme Park Operation etc. In the absence of trained and proficient operating personal, it is illegal to organize water sporting and operating swimming pool and waterparks. 
The swimming pool and water-theme park owners are bound to appoint the personnel trained in Life Saving Techniques (LST). NIWS, being the only Institute of this nature in India, there are plenty of job opportunities to the trainees passing out from it. Many trainees also get attractive offers from the Middle East countries after gaining experience.
