Certification & Validity Certification Process The courses as shown in “Courses
& Fees” are conducted in accordance to the standards set
by the international sporting agencies. Each course follows a
stage-by-stage process and assessment. Performance of trainees is
evaluated on continuous basis and the certificate & license are
awarded only to those passing in all training modules. The module(s) in
which the trainee does not attain required grade/ level is informed
accordingly and the reasons thereof. At the end of training course,
trainees are briefed on their overall performance in a valedictory
session. Those failing to achieve
necessary grade/levels are advised to practice/ learn those modules
sufficiently enough and until stipulated standards of the Institute are
reached. Afterwards, they can approach the Institute for ‘Re-test’
and certification. Re-Test This mechanism is meant to
ensure that a trainee is qualified enough and equipped with necessary
skills and knowledge for award of the license and certificate. Time
limit for Re-test is three-months from the date of completion of the
training. Trainees should express their readiness for Re-test to the
Institute in advance in writing and before permissible time limit. Any
claim afterwards shall be treated as null and void. It would be totally upon the
trainee to approach the Institute for Re-test date and completing the
procedure for licensing. Institute shall, in no way, be responsible for
intimating the trainee about ‘Re-test’ or his failure in doing so. However, if a course of
similar nature was not scheduled by the Institute in the stipulated
three-month period; request of the trainee will be considered for the next
immediate course only if applied within the permissible time limit. A maximum of two chances are
given to the trainees for ‘Re-test’ without charges. Any attempt
beyond this would be chargeable @ Rs. 500/- per attempt. Validity of
Certification The license and certificate
issued to successful trainees are valid for 04 years, excepting Beach
Lifeguard (both Silver & Gold), which is valid for 03 years only. As
part of ensuring higher-level of operational efficiency and safety
practices, License Holder shall have to undergo revalidation process of
one/two days in every four/three years (as the case may be) and the
licenses renewed accordingly. Institute will charge a nominal fee of Rs.
1200/- towards re-validation of each license, and to be deposited in
advance. As per rules, License Holder
shall be entirely responsible for timely renewal of licenses. Under no
circumstance shall it be binding on Institute to inform any License holder
about the expiry or re-validation due date. Request in writing for
admission to renewal course along with a copy of license should be
submitted to the Institute well before the expiry date. Institute shall
inform such persons about the course schedule at appropriate time. No
request for re-validation shall be accepted after expiry of the license
and such Licenses treated as null and void. Use of expired license and
certificate is illegal and shall invite penal action by appropriate
Authorities. On expiry or at the time of
taking admission to re-validation course, original should be submitted to
Institute. Fresh licenses are issued only on surrendering the licenses in
original or execution of necessary declaration to that effect.
Licenses and certificates
issued thereof are the sole property of the Institute. It shall have full
power and authority to withhold/ withdraw/ seize those, if deemed
necessary. As and when such decisions are taken by the Institute, License
Holder is duty-bound to surrender those. Further, renewal of licenses
shall not be considered until such time that appropriate decisions are
taken by the authorities against all such pending cases/litigation that
led withholding/ withdrawing/ seizure.
